Molecular and cellular mechanisms of nervous system development. In the field of neurodevelopment, targeting the cerebral cortex and hippocampus, we focus on the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying proliferation and differentiation of neural stem and progenitor cells, cell fate determination of neurons, cell migration, dendritic and axonal development, synapse formation and maturation. Our attention is also paid to the influence of external factors, such as neural activity and early postnatal sensory afferents, on these critical developmental processes.

单胺类神经递质系统与精神疾病关系密切,单胺类神经元的发育机制也是本实验室的一个长期研究方向,主要聚焦转录因子在其中的重要作用。在神经精神疾病机理研究领域,重点关注单胺类神经元发育异常与精神疾病的关系(抑郁和恐惧记忆等)以及精神分裂症易感基因的生物学作用。

The main focus is on the role of transcription factors in their development. In the area of neuropsychiatric disease, we focus on the relationship between abnormal development of monoamine neurons and psychiatric diseases (depression and fear memory, etc.) and the biological role of schizophrenia susceptibility genes.
